Ok so for a while now I have been trying to flash my Hitachi 47 and have used every method that I can find and dont know what I am doing wrong. I tried to use slax but it never says spinning disc up or whatever so I dont know when to eject. I have tried to use Jungle Flasher but I still couldnt get it to read the drive. I have it conected straigh to my mother bored. I and using windows vista 32bit if that matters. The computer that I am using is a HP a6403w in case that is the problem. If anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
L@@king back over old posts it seems like the intel chipsets had more problems than nvidia but even those nvidia seemed to like some drives more than others. Best thing is to try other pc then if still pants invest in a pci sata card.
yeah. dose it matter which card that I buy. According to the 2008 txt book, almost all SATA chipsets will work so idk what is wrong. I will try with another computer though
The only way to find out is get your mobo manufacturer and google the spec's and see what chipset was used for that model or whip the side off the tower and see if you can make out the model from the mobo itself: disclaimer - please switch it off 1st before you start poking about in there lol
I have a HitachiLG and I was wondering if it can be flashed with 0800 firmware to rip games. I have no other use for it. I know it wasn't possible to do it before but maybe it can be done now? If I was to sell it, how much you think it would be worth? Thanks for any info.
If your using jungle flasher did you get through the portIO32 installation alright? Without that installed successfully and COMPLETELY (Antiviruses like to delete portIO32.sys) your computer wont know your Hitachi is connected.
Make sure your sending mode B and keep refreshing. Go to your hardware manager and scan for hardware changes there then try again.
Hitachis have been all i've been able to flash btw even though I've been building 360 after 360. I bricked a liteon and a samsung already ^_^
*Edit: Just read the latest JungleFlasher tutorial. Apparently the latest jungleflasher uses on the go drivers so you dont have to mess with portIO32 anymore. I wonder if this fixes the antivirus issue though.*
