Environment:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
X360USB Pro, CK3 Pro (Rev. D)
Hitachi 47 drive
All the latest drivers and software.

Two problems:

Perhaps one out of five or six times when I plug the X360USB Pro into a USB port and fire up JF I will actually see the Hitachi drive. The other four or five times it doesn't see the drive. If I unplug the USB cable going to the PC and power off the CK3 Pro and let it sit for several minutes and then power on the CK3 Pro and plug the X360USB Pro unto the PC I increase my chances of JF seeing the Hitachi drive. While this is a real PITA, I can live with this. It's not bad cables as I have swapped out all of them.

The second problem I can't live with. When JF does see the Hitachi drive and I select Mode B Select in JF then open the tray on the Hitachi, then power off the CK3 Pro as it indicates you should and THEN click OK the dots appear. I then power the CK3 Pro back on and the drive tray does not close and therefore Mode B isn't really entered. Of course had the tray closed I would have opened the drive tray with the Eject button on the CK3 Pro and then closed it with the Eject button on the CK3 Pro to acknowledge Mode B. It simply will not close the drive tray when I power the CK3 Pro back up after I click okay. Trying the Mode B switch (LED will go red) on the CK3 Pro doesn't work either.

I should also point out that after Mode B is sent the X360USB Pro shows PortIO Activity flashing red. That's LD2 that's next to the green LD1 which is Power. Also LD6 is solid red as it was previous to the Send Mode B.

Any ideas? This is driving me nuts.

Thanks,
nikonman
