Hitachi 79 Not Unlocking

I have been at this Hitachi for about 4 hours trying to get the unlocker to work. I got the CD to work once on the xbox, and that was the very first time, but it gave me some RAM error. I'm completely stumped on what to do. I have tried almost everything possible. I put in the cd-r and nothing happens. It's in ModeB, I can assure you. I'll put in the cd-r and not a single sound comes from the xbox drive. If you know of anything I can do, please help..I'm at my whits end. Using an onboard SATA, w7 32bit, Chipset is i945G.
