hitachi ixtreme 1.51 safe?

ok, so my buddy has an xbox with a hitachi running ix151. He has been playing xbox live nonstop since the banwave and has not been banned.is hitachi ix151 safe at the moment?

Another strange note: on this xbox, for about 6 months, my friend got free xbox live on the same gamertag without having to pay for it. that finally ended, but i dont know what caused it in the first place. any ideas?

i even posted about this in the banwave thread and people didnt believe me,i also have a friends hitachi that i flashed and he is still playing online,he even went online with l4d2 not patched,but still no firmware is safe was we know it

Well yeah, all firmware is 'use at your own risk.' But yeah, my buddy is playing on XBL still. Like I said, his xbox has done some weird stuff before, so I don't really know how it's possible lol.

But what do you guys think?

what about iextreme 1.51 for liteon drive? do you know anyone who has been playing it since the ban wave and have not been banned?
