I had the same problem and no you dont need the new wave patcher. I actually used the revert back to last known dashboard and that worked for me. I am playing DA 2 and Crysis 2 on a benq 1.51. Its worth a shot. I'm not sure why it works. I also have this thing I downloaded from a youtube video that you put onto a flashdrive and plug it into your first USB port on the front. You have to have it plugged in at all times and it has to be in before you turn on the console. I could put it on here if you would like. Hope this helps.

how do i revert back to last know dashboard?
also whats this thing with the usb stick?? got any links so i can look up on it?
At first I thought there is no way this would work but I tried to run DA2 and it wouldnt read the disc shortly after starting it. I popped my usb drive in and it never had a problem. Maybe there is something to it.
To reset your dashboard, the power must be off. Hold the sync button on the front of the console and then power on. Hold the sync button until the dashboard comes up. It should be reset at this time. Just ask if there are any other problems.
thanks a alot pit. yeah this kid would seem to unbelievable though. i tried to reset my dashboard with your TUT. but still i have the kinect dashboard with the 2.0 12625 dsahboard? and fable 3,mw2,assasins creed brotherhood wont play for me. and crysis 2 is asking for an update. help?
Ok. try to download the latest dashboard from xbox.com and update it via usb drive. I did that, but in the process it messed up so thats when I did the dashboard reset. Try that and tell me how that goes. Also are you playing originals or copies?
copies. i already did. i put it in my usb. but then when i pluged it to my xbox, nothing happend. so i guess. it means that i already have that version right?

Had the same problem. Did lots of searching. Its seems to be an unplanned error with the hard drive connection or/and where dashboard is installed. Try disconnecting your HD and booting the disk. If that fails, install the new dashboard without your hd plugged in. It should work with one of those methods.
