hot to find out if xbox is flashed?

Hi there! To begin with, my objectiv is to FTP to xbox from pc to copy games. As I have red lots of info, I understood that xbox360 doesnt support ftp, in order to ftp xbox you need to mod xbox and install new dashboard and so on..
I have friend's xbox 360, he sayed it's "hacked", but don't know nothing exactly what was made. I've tried to make a pc-router-xbox connection. When I test connection, xbox shows that it has connected to the router, but don't find my pc. Anyway I can ping my xbox IP adress with pc, but ftp doesn't connect.
The dashboard looks like the default green.
Is there a way to find out what is allready made for the console?

In order to FTP you need a Jtagged xbox, if your freind had one of these they would know due to the price they paid for it. It is more than likely his DVD has been flashed to allow him to play copied games.
Best thing to do is to burn XEXmenu ISO from xbins and try and run that on the xbox, if its works its jtagged, if it doesnt, its not!
If it is JTAGGED, XEXMenu will allow you to FTP to the xbox.

Thanks alot for help. As you have said, probably my console is not jtagged.
I've burned xexmenu xex.rar contents to root of a cd with nero, loaded ant it says Unrecognized disk. Maby I did something wrong or I should burn this software the same way as burning games, to a dual layer DVD with special software and so on..?

I may be wrong on this, but you may have to extract the "xexmenu xex.rar" file first and then burn it. Try that and burn the extracted files and see what happens.

yea, you cant just burn the archive.. you need to extract it and burn it.

And you wouldn't want the .xex version, you'd want the .iso version. The .xex is meant to be applied from a usb stick or transfered to the ms hard drive via pc.

yes I have extracted files from this rar and burned Media folder, default.xex and other files to root. Could it be a problem that I wrote with nero to a usual cd?

I'm pretty sure it has to be a dvd, but not positive. I used a dvd rw myself.
Again, you have to use the .iso version for this to boot from a dvd.

It looks like my xbox is yet not flashed. I burned xexloader.iso (from xbins) to a dvd and when It loads, it says again "Unrecognized disk".
