So I did some searching first, but couldn't find any information to answer my specific question. I understand how hotswapping and the entire ripping proccess works. So I went out to buy a DvD drive(capable of doing burning dual layer) and they had a regular internal DvD drive (requires SATA cables to connect to the computer) and then they had external DvD burners that you can just hook to the computer using a USB cable. Does anyone know if you can hotswap using the external drive or do I need to buy the internal and use the SATA cables? It seems much easier to use an external via USB rather than hook up an internal drive outside of the computer case as if it were an external.
