Im trying to back it up on a dvd but i can never find a 8gb dvd. The only one i found was them mini dvd.Can i back it up ona mini dvd?

Mate just go onto ebay and search DVD DL+, theres plenty there. Make sure you get Verbatim.

To answer your question though- no you cannot use mini DVDs. You will need these-
