got a drive that windows wont see, but my bios sees it. yes drive is dead a friend of mine didnt do it right so now need to see if i can get dvd key off hitachi v49 drive.

what software would i use in dos? thanks alot.

This it the tutorial for flashing iextreme 1.41 but, the first part you need to obviously dump your firmware (step 3) via DOS.

Dont try and flash a drive with Firmware Toolbox, just use this guide to get your key ONLY
