I cant find my IP address but i saw the IP address thing and it says 0.0.0.0 Whats that all about????

What model router do you have? Your router IP needs to be the default gateway and your router should assign your xbox an IP. If its not doing this, its possible that maybe DHCP is not turned on in your router. Could also be that you have a faulty ethernet cable / NIC or xbox.

try this... it helped me set up my 360 when using a laptop as a wireless connection:

For Windows XP:

* Click the Start button, select Run
* Type CMD and press Enter.
* A Command prompt window will open. Type ipconfig and press Enter.
* Several lines of information will be displayed. The IP address looks like "149.72.61.234" - yours will probably have different numbers near the end. It will also show your default gateway and subnet mask.

just plug these into your 360 network screen and fingers crossed it works.
