I have another option.

Also If i patch a game incorrectly can i repatch it to correct it.
or does it ruin the image if i select the wrong settings?
this post is still valid for the majority. Any settings that are not mentioed, leave them as default and you should be fine. Where do you get your ISO's from? Do you rip them yourself or do you download them?

Hi
You're the guy who wrote the post. Thanks for sharing the info :). I couldn't reply to the post so I started another.
I am downloading games from astraweb (usenet subscription) using nzbmatrix (search forum) and atlbinz (nzb DL program)
Should ABGX be set up like the info on your post? Also If i patch with the wrong settings would re patching fix it, is it a one shot kind of thing.
I'm a bit new to this, I'm still waiting for the new xbox to be released. So I'm sorting out a few games.
Also is ABGX patching good for older games(early Xbox 360), or will it muck something up?
Thanks for taking the time to clear this up

I got an elite in the end, arriving in the next few days
If I'm not going online to start with, should i still patch every game?
Could patching mess up a game? older games etc?

Make sure you use ABGX on all you games, this will make sure you are safe as poss. Do not download any modified ISO's and if ABGX has any red text in the report, do not use the ISO.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. A lot of the tutorials are somewhat dated, so it's good to know this one is ok to use. My question has to do with the overall status of stealth patching and Live bans. Have any new patching techniques been introduced since last year's ban wave or is everyone playing patched backups on Live just as susceptible as they were then?
EDIT: After doing some more reading, I've learned that most people believe the November 2009 ban wave had more to do with the DV D drive's firmware than it did with "dirty backups". So I guess I should re-phrase my question...
Has anything been changed in the newer firmware releases to address this?

Yes, Lite Touch firmware looks more like the original M$ firmware

ABGX will give you red text. Check the NFO that comes with them before you download, it should tell you if it has been wave patched.
