How do you make a party in call of duty WaW?

hey guys, really dumb question here, but i can't seem to make a party in COD WaW for the life of me. the steps that i'm doing now are, navigating to the LIVE section of COD, selecting if i want Nazi zombies, or regular LIVE play. then i invite my friend and wait for him to join my lobby area. once hes in there, i start to search for available matches. but when ever i try to find a match it always kicks him out while searching. it doesn't matter what kind of match it is, he always gets booted.
i know there's a way to make it so you can search for matches with a friend still in there as I've seen it done with team death match. that and if this wasn't possible then in the 'hardcore' section, it wouldnt state 'no parties allowed.'
so if anyone could shed some light on what i am doing wrong, i would greatly appreciate it.

Could this be a NAT issue?
I've been in a party before when players got matched up and sometimes, 1 or 2 members didn't make it into the match lobby.

we both have open NATs and dont have a problem creating/staying in a party for halo 3 or RB6-2. its just with WaW. so i dont know if something im doing is wrong, or whats going on. its really annoying because all we want to do is kill some zombies with a couple of other people to make it a little bit easier and we cant do it.

well after spending the last hour looking at threads on the COD official site, it appears that this is a huge problem with A LOT of people. it also has been a problem for a long while now, around 5 months at least. so it looks like i might be finding a new game to play since treyarch is being gay and not fixing this issue.

yea. evidently theres a huge sticky where they were asking all kinds of questions, as if they were going to fix it, and then havent done a thing about it. seems like the only hillbilly fix is to go back to the dashboard and try it over until it works, or hold the x button while you are searching for a game and it 'should' work.

Had the same problem with zombies, but not with regular online matches. Never bothered checking the waw forums about it.

didnt bother with regular multiplayer maps last night, but i know the other day it was doing it for them as well. but there was a game update released yesterday, but i think all it did was change the main menu and show that there was a new download map pack (that isnt even available to download). so perhaps ill try it with regular multiplayer tonight or some co-op over LIVE and see if it works.
also, i was trying to look on the COD site last night, but it wouldnt even load for me. kept giving me a blank page, but today it started working.

yea we both have map packs 1 and 2. was going to get map pack 3 when it was actually released, but now i dont see the point if they arent going to fix this issue that tons of people are having with creating a party for zombies.
