i have read up on this and there are so many different answers... but does anyone know how long xbox 360 warranty is for?? when i bought the xbox i (think) i remember the man in the shop saying 1 year from the shop and another year from microsoft.. just not sure if i am right...

and my elite is over a year old not really been used much but now suddenly sound way too loud... i am downstairs and my 4 year old is playing it upstairs and i hear a very loud buzzing coming through the ceiling off it...very noisy

The standard warranty is 1 year. But I don't think they'd replace it due to loudness.

With a new xbox you get 1 year for everything and 3 years for E74 error & RROD from the manufacturer (M$). Don't think your noise issue will be covered unless it turns in to RROD or E74

ok this is weird... i have just registered online to find out about my warranty... the elite was bought 30/11/2008.... but online it says


Current Warranty Status
Device: Xbox360 Hardware
Serial Number: ***********
Warranty Status: In Warranty
Warranty Type: Standard
Warranty Start:
Warranty Expiration: 2/3/2010 7:00:00 PM

now of course that is not a 12 month or 2 year warranty... must be about 16 months... do u think they made a mistake??

i notice it doesn't say a start date?
