So I have tried jungle flasher didn't work couldn't fin my drive. All the threads I have been reading are from 2006 so I was wondering if there are any new easy methods that work, I know about the slax cd and wire thing, but my computer isn't the most stable thing in the world so I don't want to risk restarting it suddenly.

Download Slax 2.1 and burn it to a CD. Put it in your PC's DVD drive and shut down your computer. Start up your computer and boot to Slax. Once you select Slax, power on the Hitachi drive. It will start going through a bunch of stuff and then stop at point that says "Spinning up disk......." Hit the eject button on the Hitachi and you should see the text continue. At that point you should be in Mode B. Let it finish and you should get to the login prompt. Type root and then for the password type toor (root backwards). Then type reboot. Should go ahead and eject your disc and reboot. Go back into Windows and your Hitachi should be recognized, check the Device Manager.

That didn't work my computer boots into slax and says a whole bunch of crazy stuff, like "type hotstopplug to skip" and it never says spinning disk. When should I turn the Xbox on because it just goes straight into slax I don't have to select it?

Once you select the option in the boot menu to boot from your PC dvd drive, turn on the Hitachi drive.

Is it suppose to say all that stuff though when does spinning disk come up?

Should be about halfway through. It is going to say a bunch of stuff and then it should say "Spinning up disk........".

I can't seem to get it to work computer won't boot with the xbox turned on before hand it gets to the device checker and say no bios installed? I have gotten all the way through linux before ,but I am afraid I can't turn my xbox on in time for it to reconginze it. This is what I am doing turning xbox on after clicking F10 to exit and save, it reboots system it then get pasts the first part with primary salve then it gets to the next page and says something about no bios being installed.
