how to get themes on a banned xbox 360?

Okay, so I have recently purchased a banned xbox 360 console and it came without any themes.

I was wondering if it was possible to download a theme and then use xplorer 360 to transfer it onto my 360 hard drive?

Has anyone successfully done this? I tried earlier and when I turned my xbox on and went to search in themes nothing was there. So not sure what I did wrong...
