Hi all, I got an Xbox 360 Elite for Christmas, and got Xbox live last month. I have been playing GTA the ballad of gay tony for about 2 weeks now, I just met someone online who was playing with mods, and I rode on the car with him. He had super speed on all the cars, and he couldn't die. He also fired rockets from his pistol. How do I do all of this?
He said that he inserted a CD into his Xbox 360 and it installed the files needed to install the gta mods. I've searched this forum and I only found info about modchips and things about flashing the "firmware." I saw something called XiTreme or something like that and I don't know what it is. I'd prefer to mod my xbox using a CD, could anybody help me with this? Thanks.
Sorry if I come by as clueless, I'm not very technical swavy, and I have no experience whatsoever with the Xbox 360. I also apologize if I put this in the wrong section, I was assuming the Xbox - Hardware discussion was dedicated specifically to the original Xbox.
I'm sorry, what's the difference between modding the actual 360 and modding the game image save?
Is modding the actual 360 going to get me GTA IV mods? Whats the easiest way to do this?
If this helps, I have updated my GTA IV because M$ asked me to, is this a problem? I use to have a PSP, and I am aware that updating games can sometimes create problems for modding/flashing.
once you MOD, you are NO longer safe on live. Just letting you know.
modding the 360 is used to play burn game. by modding the save, i think that you are actually modifying the code in the game. For example, you replace a pistol's bullet with a rocket launcher bullet or you make a slow bike faster by alternating the code inside the game.
Anyhow, I still think you need a modded 360.
If you follow the link above and search for your"drive" lite on/benq/hit/sam/ and just follow the picture instruction guide then you should be ok.

and did you see my question about getting gta mods? can you get stuff like custom vehicles as well? can i spawn other vehicles besides the ones from the cheats?
and also, is modding my entire xbox 360 what i have to do? what about putting in a CD?
Is there a way how i can do anything without a transfer cable? I am DEAD broke right now, can't really get a transfer cable.
I've looked into hotswapping, and flashing my xbox, but can't M$ detect flashed xboxs? I'm sorry i am just so confused.
