hey guys, I'm trying to re-flash my sammy drive with ixtreme 1.61. I'm sorry if this has been covered in other posts, but all my searching comes up with how to flash for the first time.
I personally flashed this drive with 1.6 using Iprep 8.8, and that went smoothly, and all worked well. Then out comes wave 4, and along comes 1.61. Instead of patching all my games to wave 3, and ensuring that if they are ever used on another system, it will surely cause a ban, I would rather try to keep the game as close to original as possible in hopes they could be used safely on LIVE later.
I am not familiar with jungle flasher, but it seems to be the program of choice for many. I didn't want to use JF due to the reports that it sometimes hangs, and can cause f-ups, and iprep was simple and straight forward. I'm just not sure how to upgrade to 1.61. Can someone please give info, or tut on what to do? I'm not opposed to using JF, but as I said, i've never used it before. I tried reflashing in the exact same way I flashed the first time using Iprep, but since I'm using a floppy (my PC won't boot from a usb drive?!) when it started to build my custom firmware, it ran out of space on the disk!! So i thought I'd give it a try using JF, but would like some help before I have at it!
