Well most of you already have been asked this question but i seem to have the wrong power adapter for my xbox 360 elite. My question was is it necessary that i go buy a new one, or is there some way that i can remove the little piece in the middle and make it work for me?

What is the wattage of your power supply unit and what motherboard revision do you have?

There was a indepth thread on this not to long ago, i think the conclusion was that it does supply enough power so you could use it.

Well the the output is 175W and i dont really know how to check the motherboard revision i have.

Look on the back of the 360 on the sticker by the power plug in. What does the amperage say?
