Hi.
I read in c4evaspeaks that the 1.91 flash doesn't support XGD3 backups but it does support XGD3 originals.
Can someone please tell me what are XGD3 games.
And when c4eva says it supports the original game does he mean the official bought game on the original disc or does it mean something else that I am not familiar with.
Can someone shed some light on this whole XGD3 thing?
Thanks.

XGD3 is a new disc format on some newer games, where it adds 1GB to the storage of Xbox 360 game discs. The only game that has the XGD3 that I know of is newer copies of Halo: Reach. M$ was doing a test with the new format and sent out copies of Halo: Reach with the new XGD3.
So, when c4eva says it will support originals and not backups, that means games that you buy retail, the actual game itself.
Supposedly iXtreme LT+ 2.0 will bring XGD3 backup support.
Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot.
That really helped.
So if I were to take an older version of Halo reach or lets say it was downloaded.
Ran it through abgx360 and put it on a regular DVD DL,
it wouldn't cause any problems with the LT+ 1.91?
Thanks.

I think if you burn a copy of Halo: Reach now, it may add the XGD3, I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that's what will happen. So just use an older copy, or wait till LT+ 2.0 is released.

This is all incorrect information. The XGD3 format has not even been released yet. Halo reach still boots fine on 1.9.1 along with all other games. Pretty funny reading this from a senior member. Older copy? You seriously have some reaading to do. All copies work the same way bud.

I thought the new Halo: Reach games had the XGD3 format? I mean, I have one of the preview copies with the XGD3 format... Though when I posted it was a bit late, maybe I need some sleep...

No, but they will be here soon which is why LT 2.0 hasn't been released. C4eva will wait for the games to release first before he releases the FW. I think you are getting the new format confused with AP2.5 which are two different things.

The only game that is in the XGD3 format is the halo reach that MS sent out for the new disc beta. The beta before that dash version started flashing drives. None have ever been relase through a store bought copy. That's why LT2.0 is not here yet. XGD3 originals work fine on LT1.9 and newer but not back ups. Which isn't a big deal right one since the only XGD3 game out now is that one disc of halo reach that MS sent to people that signed up for the beta.

The one sent out in beta program is XGD3 at least the one I got is. LT boots it because it is original not backup. XBC could be reporting it wrong I guess, but it reports it as 8.7 capacity and we know the real capacity of dl is 7.96

Okay now we are making sense. I think they got the beta confused with retail.

Yeah, it was when M$ was testing out the new format, they sent out copies of Halo Reach that had the new XGD3 format. Those are the only ones with the new formats out right now is what it sounds like.

Looks like the games are starting to come. Just downloaded Warhammer 4000 and Dead Island and these are both the XGD3 format and for now only Jtagged consoles will be able to use the games when put in the GOD format with some other work. Just waiting for LT 2.0 to arrive so I can burn these games. Hope thats all that is required. I have a banned console that I just play offline with so no worries there, just want to play the games.
