Clean it and do teh 12v fan mod. Those board are crap so do you want it loud and stay cool or quiet and overheat? Or buy a jasper.

You say that he only has those two choices and your very wrong... He can make Liquid cooled. Install his own fans. Or do the Mineral oil thing. Only the HDD and DVD drive will make noise. So many choices to make it quite and cool no problems at all just simple ingenuity (AKA Google) and a simple idea.

WTF are you talking about? Liquid cooled? Can't imagine that cost would be worth it. The fans on these do not blow cool enough. We jtag users can prove this with the monitoring options on the cpu / gpu. Mineral oil thing? I hope you're not putting this on the motherboard. You mean flux? The HDD should never make noise and if the DVD is making noise you have a junk drive.
