Ok everytime i try to burn a game it stops at 50% with a error something like failed to write into adress or wrong address to write in along them lines, bassically i was looking around i realised on imgburn do you need to uncheck verify or does it not matter and in bookmark thing do you need to choose something? i'm using a phillip burner on my pc to burn game it say i can burn DVD+R DL i'm using memorex 8x DL +R disc.. any know whats up bit confused and wasting disc...
Unchecking verify won't help. That just checks the disc for miscompares and read errors after it's finished burning and you're not even getting that far.
It could be your choice of discs. Verbatim are the best choice for burning 360 games. Also, look for a firmware update for your burner as that can sometimes make a difference. If worst comes to worst, you might be looking at buying a new burner, but a good one is only about 30 dollars these days.
I had the same problem. I was about to go out and get a new burner, but then I smartend up and picked up a pack of Verbatims. No problem what-so-ever now.
I got a brand new lite-on burner and the same thing happened with the first burn at 50% and another time at 99% and I only got about 2 or 3 games out of 10 to work then got someone to pick up TDK discs and got 6 in a row to work perfect :)

I'm the opposite. My TDK's worked about 30% of the time. I'll only buy Verbatims from here on out.
Ok bassically when i burn it stops at 50% then o nthe log say writing layer break, buffer stops at 10% then nothing happens i waited like couple of hours n still nothing :S any advice on that?

If you are intent on using the same brand of discs, then look for a firmware update for your burner and install it. Sometimes that can fix issues like the ones you're having, but not always. It's a good idea to update the firmware anyway.
If you have no luck with that, get some Verbatim discs and try those. Crap media is also a major factor in people having burn issues.
If you still have no luck, then you might be looking at buying a new drive. If you do try burning a Verb with the latest firmware for your burner installed and it still fails, post up the ImgBurn log. Definitely try Verbatims before buying a new drive though, because if the Verbs work you won't need to buy a new drive, and if you do buy a new drive, the Memorex discs you're using might still fail, so you'll have to buy Verbs anyway, lol.
Now i'm at a loop whole lol any suggestion on what drives are good to have. I.E a drive that can flash xboxs and burn games and good site to buy ver in the uk?
