I just gave my lite on Console for flashing here in India.
When I asked him what method he used. He said "Blazer" method. I had no idea that was. I googled it a bunch of times. It seems inexistent. He said it did involve cutting like all the other methods and he said he'd do a full dump. Maybe he just meant 'blaster'. Anybody know what this is?
Anyway, I gave him a cd and asked him to write all the firmware info and everything else he extracts from the drive. He said he'd write down the DVD key on a piece of paper and stick it to the drive.
Should that be enough if i need to upgrade? IF so, I can do that via any SATA port, right?

he was probably referring to xecuter comblaster360, you can google it to find more info about it.
you can use the dvd key to spoof to another drive, but it would be best if he can also give you the original .bin file he read from the drive.
to modify your drive using your pc, it's best to use a pc card with via sata ports like this "VIA VT6421A IDE & SATA RAID PCI Controller Card".

I dont think he'll agree. He has to make money when i have to upgrade again. Thats how things in India work.
Can I use the DVD key only, to upgrade the SAME drive to the next LT firmware when it releases? (Which I hope is a long way off)
