Just some information for anyone that's flashed LT+ to their BenQ. From what I understood LT+ doesn't work with spoofing. However apparently there's multiple versions of the BenQ (i had no idea). So when I read the firmware then spoofed source to target it gave me this:
so I thought "wtf, it's not supposed to spoof" and i set manual spoofing to VAD6038. Afterwards I went to IRC to inquire about it and found out that the spoofing was for the 62430c revision BenQ, not the 64930c that I had set the manual spoofing to (which ironically removed the "spoofed as.." line) and had I left it on VAD6038 it wouldnt have been safe to play on live. PHEW bullet dodged, glad I asked about it

ya it was kinda weird looking too but it clearly says "Rev 62430c" on it. Also you'll notice that the OSIG in the source says "SATA DVD-ROM" when you get it into vendor mode...well I didn't notice at the time, but afterward I did :)

yep so if we run into this just make sure we hit the manual spoof button and make it match what the actual drive is reported as

No if you run into this it means jungle flasher has detected that your drive is the 62 version. You need to make sure the revision matches, either 64 (with I think says VAD6038) and no spoofing, or 62 which says Spoofed as SATA DVD-ROM 6243 (but the OSIG still has 64)

lol im lost now. in the screenshot in the source section it looks like it detected the drive as rev 62430C. but in the target it says it is a rev 64 but it tried to spoof as a 62.... so is this just a JF glitch

According to the op in #fw I talked to it's not a glitch because instead of having multiple firmwares for the benq they just did the one with support for the rarer 62 version done via "spoofing"...which he said wasn't spoofing at all because it's the same drive. I dunno it was kinda confusing, that's why I made this post.

Bottom line: when you read your firmware, your source will either come up as rev 64 or 62. When you click spoof source to your LT+ target, whatever it shows is correct and you shouldn't worry. Which will either be 64 with no spoofed line, or 64 "spoofed as 62"...either case should match your drive in the source

ok so we really dont need to do anything but let JF take care of business. I thought you were meaning we had to in some way alter it and JF was spoofing incorrectly.
When i looked at the screenshot it looked like everything was good since it detected the orig as a 62 but the target fw (as you said) was from a 64 so JF spoofed it as a 62 which really isnt a spoof since it is going onto a 62 anyway.

but its still good to know whats going on. esp if your one of those people (like us) that want to know how it works and why
