Installing game on HDD

I'm trying to install a game using unbanned 120GB HDD on a banned 360 than taking the HDD off and putting it on the original unbanned elite and it's not recognizing the installed game. Is the banned xbox corrupting the installed game files? or is it an issue like saves game were you have to change the ID's? Any help will be appreciated!

PS I'm sure someone will comment about this so I'll post it here. As of todoay (April 6th) with the new xbox live update it "uncripples" banned HDD's that have previously lost functionality, so yes I am able to install the game using my banned xbox when I couldn't just a day ago

you cant play a game off the hard drive on a console it wasnt installed by. so thats probably why
