Sorry but I've been out of the loop for a while.

I just took my 1.5 flashed Xbox out of the closet and want to play my backup COD4 and COD5 online. (Both games stealth-patched)

I did so before (1 yr ago) without any problems.

Now I heard theres been waves of bans so I figure 1.5 is definately not safe.

What if I upgrade to 1.61?

Toronto! i got a pair of reebok sneakers with bluejays logo on the side :)
ok now that i got my love for my city out there, i think 1.41 is safer because all the added security and built in 0800 fw has been stripped in LT. maybe MS could detect them

I had a benq with 1.61 banned. I ripped my own games, but I used a kreon drive. Needless to say, I had to re-rip all of my games using a 360 drive for SSV2 (just to be safe). I've been running 1.41 on my other benq since my 1.61 box was banned. I've done days/weeks/months of reading and have found that 1.41 is the, "safest" bet. I'll probably get flagged and banned next ban-hammer time. You might want to wait for LT to be released for benq before you flash it (anyday now). It's not 100% safe, but what is anymore? Make sure your games are ripped with an 0800 flashed 360 drive, and not a Kreon drive. That's about as safe as we can be ATM without running stock firmware.
