im just wondering because if you get your 360 modded with whatever firmware and then a new wave of games come out, can you update the firmware without going back to whoever modded your 360, or without opening your 360

is it relatively easy i.e loading a cd or dvd into your 360 and running files?

the system will need to be opened and the drive will need to be reflashed each time you want to update the firmware.
there are devices that can be installed on the xbox so it can be updated with out taking the system apart but in my opinion its a waste as you still need to have the hardware on your computer to flash the drive, as far as taking the case apart it takes all of about 30 seconds.
what you need to do is read up on how to flash the drive yourself.
