When unconnected my kinect for the first time an update has popped up. Is it safe to update with the LT 1.1???

Before you update to Kinect Dash, update your Xbox to LT+ 1st(that's what miketrev said).

You can't properly play games which are released after Fable III has been released. In short terms, AP 2.5 games will give you LOTS of problems if you stay to LT or older flashed firmwares... But if you play AP 2.5 games before you update to the new Kinect dash, you'll be fine until a game asks you to update your Xbox.
