Im new to the whole modding stuff and thought I'd try to flash my xbox. I have no idea what i did wrong but when i plugged the drive back into the xbox my xbox wouldnt stop blinking and my drive wouldnt open even when i press the button. So i just want to know if my drive is messed up and i need to get a new one or if there's a way to fix it

Do you have the original drive keys? I don't see why you wouldn't, since BenQ drives are one of the easiest.

Looks like its trying to eject the drive but its unable to do so. Blinking green lights are normally accompanied by Open Tray error messages when its trying to open the tray. Either the lens is dirty or something is getting stuck preventing the drive from opening.

You erased the firmware on the drive. That's why your light just flashes and the drive doesn't open. If you've saved the dvdkey when you attempted to flash your drive, you're in luck. If not, then you have a giant paper weight. You can use a program called dosflash to get your drive back up and running if you've saved your dvdkey. Without the dvdkey, the system won't play any games, retail or backup, but will play movies. This is due to the Motherboard and DVD-ROM having a paired "dvdkey". If they don't match, then the 360 is incapable of playing games from discs. If you lost the key, you could still use the 360 for playing DLC and streaming netflix. Good Luck!

i'm guessing his drive is still in vendor mode, if not then it has no firmware, of course i have seen noob work where one of the pins have been bent down while trying to plug the power cable back in. i dont think he would have a paper weight, if he actually unlocked the benq and read it, there will be a record of the key in JF.
