all the vids and guides i see theres at least a couple ppl saying its a temp fix

If there were a permanent fix, Microsoft would do it during the manufacturing process, eliminating any RRoDs. That being said, the best fix available would be to get a re-flow of the motherboard.

Actually no microsoft wouldn't admit that they screwed up like that. There is a permanent fix and it's called remove the flexing and remove the heat. It's really not that hard of a process. Do the llamma xclamp replacement and then add an extra fan or two.

I did this to my elite that was repaired by microsoft about 3 years ago, then i took it apart to mod it. You can see it here.

Just make sure if you have to repair the console first it's done properly with a reflow machine using the correct flux. Flux makes all the difference in the world when it comes to reliability.

+1 there are other fixes out there (heatgun etc) but the best way for a perm fix is the proper reflow as C4RN1 mentions

well my 360 has only 1 ring rod
