Basically I have a pain waiting for others to do it for me so I'd like to be able to do it myself. For instance the drive went(stopped working) in my xbox360 and I left it into a pc shop to get a new drive installed and flashed and the guy charged me ?115. I could nearly have a brand new xbox360 for that but I went ahead and got it done.
But as I said I want to be independant from now on and update the firmware myself and flash my new xbox if required.
So is the bundle in the above link ALL I will need to do the job ? I don't have the satachipset in my pc so I'm just wondering if I need the sata board once I have the above bundle.
Ah I see, I did read about needing the via chipset long time ago, but as this was a bundle I thought maybe it could now be done via USB rather than still using the via chipset.
Do you know if there is any bundles anywhere, that will include everything needed to flash, some site that will ship to Ireland.

Anyway, I got my kit from www.mrmodchips.com. Came within a week, so you could try there! ^^ btw those via cards are dirt cheap on eBay! I only paid £8 for mine with a software disk and stuff! ^^
The flashing of the Xbox360 always looked quite daunting to me so I never bothered with the learning how to flash them, but believe me it's cost me a small fortune to get them flashed in the past, even for an update it's costing good hard earned cash so reckon I'll give it a go.
I'll get reading some tut's in the meantime while I'm waiting for the stuff to arrive :)
