Is VIA VT6307 chipset koser to flash?

Ok, I have been snooping on afterdawn for a wile now and have been able to mod my xbox and wii without asking any questions. But now it seems the 360 is not gonna be as easy a task.

I am trying to flash a Hitachi 47DJ with a VIA VT6307 Compaq mobo. I can put it in mode b, but windows xp pro will not recognize it. I have not had enough time to confirm that this chipset will not allow the drive to flash personally. Searching the forms for "VIA VT6307" brings up four results, but the ppl never confirm that it will not work; they merely solve their problems by other means.

My question is, has anyone confirmed wither or not this VIA VT6307 chipset will be applicable to flash a Hitachi 47DJ?

with the portio driver installed i believe that any chipset is suitable to flash xbox 360 drives. i used a sis 900 chipset to flash with portio driver installed. works great (only the vcc trick does not work!!).

for that reason i used another computer with the recommended via (onboard) chipset (for which the vcc trick does work) to flash my xbox drives. but the few (all stock) 360 drives i flashed, worked out great with my sis chipset.

i know that in the beginning i tried to flash with the via driver installed (also a hitachi drive), it took me a day to figure out that i couldn't get it to work. installed the portio driver, and i was done in 5minutes (i used the slax cd to put it into b-mode)
