So i were about to upgrade a friends firmware.
Ive flashed a couple of drives so kinda know what to do. But upgrading... well this is the first. But i made sure to first get the dummy.bin and the other files.

But now the drive wont read any disc. It comes up with the white screen saying .

""** put this disc into a 360 to,.....**""

And i cant extract the dummy again. (maybe there curently aint no firmware on it then? )

but what can i do from here then?

There is FW on the drive or it wouldnt be reading as a DVD (the insert this disc in to a 360 message), sounds like you have nor flashed the correct key.

Check the key from source matches target, erase and reflash
