iXtreme 1.6 has ripping built in

I have a spare Samsung m25 I want to use for ripping.

I was on the verge of downloading and flashing Xtreme 5.whatever but
I read that iXtreme 1.6 has support for ripping already. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?s...=&#entry4488868

My question now is do I still need to do the 0800 disk trick. The one where I power up the xbox load the 0800 disk for 20 seconds eject then turn on my pc.

What ripping program do you recommend with my setup? I'm gona be connecting the Samsung through a VIA card cuz Samsungs lock up my PC when I hook up directly the the MoBo SATA slots.

Download iX 1.6 0800 for Samsung HERE. Flash that to your drive and you will be able to rip games.

Great thanks. I didnt know there was a particular version of 1.6 that I needed. So this 1.6 0800 dedicated drive does not need the 0800 disk trick then?

Correct, once this firmware is flashed, your drive will automatically be detected by Windows. If you are using a VIA SATA card to flash, you will have to restore the driver so Windows can detect the drive. If you are using onboard SATA, you shouldn't have an issue.
