Is there A way to use Memorex dvd-dl to burn games with burner max because I been trying to burn MW3 and everything is fine but on the final burn I get an error at 65% I did it 3 times and same thing. Do I really need Verbatim for this to work? Anyone know setting I need to use for imgburn
here is my error

Here's a tutorial for Memorex that someone did a little while ago. Assuming you can find your exact type of discs within the special programs that you need, you should be able to get them to work. This method is kind of a pain because there's no guarantee it will even work. The best and easiest solution is to use Verbatim. And more specifically, the 8x Verbatim. From what I've read and from personal experience, the 8x Verbatims seem to have the best success rate for people. I've been using 2.4x Verbatims for two years with no problems, but I could not get a good 100% burn with the new Burnermax firmware and drive. As soon as I tried an 8x Verbatim, it worked perfectly. Good luck.

Maybe, but why would you want to burn them at that speed anyway? Burning XGD3 games at 4X gives great results (for me at least).

Which are? There's no need to type in all caps BTW. I can read what you're saying perfectly well when words are in lower case.
These are the settings I use: -
OPC + Hyper Tuning + Online Hyper Tuning + Smart Burn = All turned on.
At 4X I'm getting superb burns with MKM-003 discs.

From what I've read, verifying the new games is pretty much useless. Imgburn may verify a burn and say it's good even when it's not. The only true test is to put it in your console and try it. Don't rely on the verify process anymore.
Or download K-Probe, which is the recommended program in the burnermax tutorial for testing your burns. Add .com at the end of the link. Since I'm a Newb I can't post links

thanks for your input, but i don't really care for what one says he or she has read, weather, if it is right or wrong, i would like a non-newbie to reply to this with knowledge of if you do or don't need to verify. but really thanks for your reply
and yes, i knew about kprobe

I've always used 4x and got better results than 2.4x but as said it depends on your burner and settings etc.

What does the fact that I'm a "newbie" have to do with anything? All that means is I just joined the site. You could get input from a member who's been here for 5 years and they might not know anything. LOL! I'm not a newbie at modding. And I've read all over the net that verifying doesn't tell you anything. Not to mention, I've done it myself a dozen times and imgburn has told me it was a clean burn only for the game not to work in my xbox. So you're free to continue wasting your time verifying, but it really, in no way tells you how well the 360 drive is going to read the game. All verifying does is tell you whether everything burned normally with no major errors or hiccups. It's not representative of how well the 360 drive will read the game.
And if you don't care what someone has heard or read, what are you doing on an internet forum asking questions for? You're likely going to get the same answer from everyone else... they've read or heard this or that... Lord, try to help people out...

Yeah just from number of posts on the forums. Most of mine were in the dvb forums years ago lol but I'm down as a senior member. Newbie just means new to afterdawn but doesn't mean new learner and it looks link you know what you're talking about. I never use verify cause it was the same with me. You could get a good verify and then get open tray or mixed media disc or even just the disc read error in mid game. It was always a case of put the game in the xbox and see if it works.

joe_1981 was just trying to be nice and you treat him like that. These forums are for help and he was trying to help you. Just because he is a newb to afterdawn doesn't mean he doesn't know anything. Don't ask any more questions if you only expect senior members to reply. Maybe you can create your own forum just for senior members.
You said "i don't really care for what one says he or she has read, weather, if it is right or wrong" then why would you ask a question?

Well, like I said, I've tried verifying several discs and imgburn said they were good, then my xbox gave me dirty disc errors. I also spent about 2 hours last week reading through the team executer forums to try and get a 100% burning method and came across prob 4+ people claiming to have the same issue when verifying discs, imgburn says it's a good burn and the xbox rejects it.
Anyway, it may be on a person to person basis. Prob depends on the media you're using and which drive your xbox has inside of it.

did you get your bootloop after installing the game to the HD? BF3 is one sketchy game when installing it to the HD. I had the same problem when installing to the HD, i think its because when it asked to insert the coop disk after i installed the texture, i just turned of the console and got the bootloop, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and it went away
