Jammed Xbox 360 reset button.

I have the case off of my 360 because I'm getting ready to flash it. I was trying to press the reset button (so that I could update my dashboard). I was not able to get the stem of the reset button far enough into the whole to make contact and reset the system. So I got a small round object and tried to poke it into the whole. Now it seems that I have jammed my reset button because every time I try to power off the system, it resets itself and the system comes back on.
Any advice would be appreciated.

kill this. The button has unjammed itself magically.

Lucky for you that you got one of those rare consoles with the new "self unjamming reset in case you poke a foreign object wrongly into the hole button". What I wouldn't give for one of those :)
