This talk of a patch...If someone makes a patch, does that mean the patch will make MW2 and BO work on a 1.6, as long as the MW2 and BO dvds are burned with this patch? Or would the dvd drive still have to be reflashed with LT+ regardless of such a patch?

just update to lt+ soon,u will need it to play all games 1.6 is long and dead,the patch for the games will be out soon like people said

i have got lt+1.0 just to clear up if i update will this effect my console?
i dont use it for live. i have a legit xbox for live and a banned xbox for my backed up games my banned xbox has the sec data patched so it could install to the hard drive again last year after it got hit in the nov 2009 ban wave.so if i change my hdd to my banned xbox and update will it effect my backed up games and gamer profile???

It doesn't seem to effect samsung drives. I've got 2 of them updated and running on live playing AC:B, Halo Reach, and COD Black OPS. My sammy is flashed with LT 1.0 (only version of LT for sammy drives).

I was wondering what that update was for last night. It took about 6 mins, and nothing changed on the dashboard. They should update the dashboard (improve security/anti-hacking and speed it up), to make things quicker especially when in a game and quickly using the guide button, that think takes forever to close when your right in the middle of a game. Let's see some updates for more media formats (mkv) Microshaft, instead of stupid updates like this.

You still need LT+ in order to run these.

My Sammys are also unaffected BillB, I've also heard the same from other Sammy owners.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

I have been reading a bit like suggested, I downloaded jungle flash, but am scared to do anything to my xbox without all the info. I am currently trying to find a video on this. any suggested sites for a guy like me that has never done this and has limited skills on computers?

if the abgx shows that ap25 reply sector has correctly verified is it safe to play it in live with the ix lt + 1.1? does it mean that my COD BO backup correctly patched AP2.5 with ppfomatic? what is SSv3? is COD BO needs SSv3 ? how can i know that a game is SSv3? please help me out. thnx

if you are using abgx 1.0.5 and it passes everything then its fine. SSV3 is just SSV2 with the PPF-O-Matic patches on it
