What kind of hard drive is best for a JTAGGED xbox 360 in terms of performance?

Is it a 2.5" form factor that can fit inside the silver hard drive caddy?

An external USB hard drive?

Something else?

I have a 500GB 2.5" inside the "silver hard drive caddy" and a USB 2TB external hard drive. The 500GB seems to be just a little faster. Nothing to noticeable though.

My 2.5 seagate 250gb works like a dream. Was cheap enough and still faster than reading from disc.
