I just updated my jtag to the 12611 dash and everything went fine except for now I cant play videos anymore. When ever I try to load a video I just get a black screen. I had no problems prior to this update with the 9199 dash. I have the optional media update required to play divx, and I also went on my other console and redownloaded the update from xbox live just to make sure that the new dash doesn't require a new update, after doing so I tried it without using yaris swap to unlock the update and using yaris swap. Without yaris I would get error media update required, using yaris I just get black screen. Any help or confirmations that I'm not the only one with this problem is much appreciated. Oh, and by the way I can play these movies on my other console but have to be signed into live, so there isn't a problem with media.

The reason for xvid not working and some people not having avatars is because they haven't
installed the full official MS dashboard release. When you apply this update to your xbox it will only copy over missing files, which is what you need for avatars, etc... Since it only copies missing files it wont blow efuses and get rid of jtag exploit. Even though it wont corrupt jtag and I know this because I have just done it, I would still make sure that you have either removed resistor or bridged transistor so updates wont be able to do so. http://download.digiex.net/Consoles/Xbox360/Dashboards/2.0.12611.0.zip You can get update from there, sorry tried just creating a link but it would just send me to error page, but link works if you copy and paste or right click save as makes no sense to me oh well. I had trouble finding a working link so if link is down just search google for 2.0.12611.0.zip and you should be able to find one. After you get update just extract the $systemupdate folder to root of usb or cd, you dont need to copy default.xex. Xbox should automatically ask you to update if not just restart with drive inserted and it will.
