I am trying to flash my Lite on 93450. I have flashed before but jungle flasher has giving me nothing but trouble every time. I always end up just doing it in DOS, but I want to figure out this time why it doesn't work the way it is supposed to.

When I load up JF (now 1.72) and it loads fine. However, as soon as I turn on my ck3 pro rev d, my pc freezes. After about a minute, I can regain control but only for a few seconds. The manual insists that I need to remove my viaraid.sys file to remedy the freezing issue. Upon doing this, when I load up JF again, it tells me that I have no VIA device. Of course I dont!!! I just deleted it. Now the correct I/O Port isn't even available. How can I make this work?

Another issue is the freezing after removing the firmware. The drive won't respond (this is what has happened with previous flashes). I have to go back into DOS to manually put the firmware back on. I know this shouldn't have to happen either.

Please help me with how I can use jungle flasher without it freezing on me all the time.

I'm not sure what I did exactly, but as of right now I am in jungle flasher and not frozen after removing my viamraid.sys file. Of course the problems never cease. It is not detecting my lite on drive even though the LT Switch is Green and I have the correct port selected. Any ideas?

Thats a very good question. I don't even know. In fact I didn't realize that I had signed in on different names. Maybe I was temporarily banned on one or something. I really don't remember.

i might be wrong here but i thought that JF had the portIO driver onboard now and the installation of them was not needed (i can't spell unnecessary) lol

Dont even think about how i do this 1 handed... just know i do and i can kick your ass at CoD, Gears, SF, VF .. get the picture *wink*

You are correct, i remember reading this in the latest JF PDF, but I still use the old one as it works and ICBA reinstalling.

@ OP, try installing a older version and installing portIO, you issue does sound like its something to do with portIO. ALso what OS are you using?

I just finished putting traces back to original and put hooked drive up to make sure it was still working properly. Jungle Flasher detects it. As I mentioned before, when I had the Lt switch installed, it would turn green and red for normal and r/w. Doesn't this mean it was installed correctly? If so, why is my computer not picking it up like it does when I have the drive configured as stock?

What is the likelihood that my LT switch is bad? I know people have a tendency to think that just because they can't get something to work it's the chips fault, but after giving my situation I can't think of anything else it could possible be. I just reinstalled chip and it has green and red confirming that it is installed correctly, yet JF cannot pick it up.

Now I'm not even able to get my COM port to pick up in JF. Even when I couldn't get my drive detected, I could at least get the COM port. Now I can't even get that. How do I get COM port to show again? I have reinstalled drivers a few times with no sucess.

Got COM's working again. Turns out I had bad USB cord. Just my luck. Still unable to get drive detected.
