jungle flasher locks up computer

I'm using jungle flasher to flash a liteon and I've used this pc with this exact setup for at least 3 other consoles but now it locks up.

I insert the probe and click dvd32key button and as soon as it reads keys it locks up the computer. Sometimes it happens as soon as it reads the key once and other times it's read it four or five times but it always locks up before it reads it six times.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Appreciate any help.

Are you using the ck3 to connect to your drive? My PC can't handle the ck3 and locks up whenever I turn it on, sometimes I'm lucky and can maintain a connection for a few minutes before this happens.

My solution - do all the heavy lifting in DOS (read, write) and use JungleFlasher to spoof the hacked firmware. You will need to use your floppy drive, dosflash, l-o-eras.exe

unplug all IDE and SATA drives unless its hard drive

use windows XP with correct drivers for CK

Thanks for the suggestions

I'm powering the drive from the console and using a probe. I don't think I can do it in dos because my serial port is a usb adapter. I don't think I can make that work in dos.

I might have to wipe and reinstall windows and see if that helps.
