I have a MS28 drive that I am trying to upgrade to a Benq drive. I have the MS28 plugged in to my MOBO via a SATA cable. I have the drive next to the PC powered by the 360. I have tried starting it up with and without the drive open.

Jungleflasher does not recognize the drive, but I can see it in the boot options menu when I start up the PC. I have plugged it into all four SATA ports on the board. It is not recognized on any one of them. The SATA chipset on the board is ATI RS690/RS690M Rev. 00.

Do I HAVE to get a PCI SATA card to do this, or can I do this somehow with the mainboard SATA ports? Do I maybe need to try another method? Is there something I forgot?

I really would like to get this changed out to the Benq drive as I understand it is the quietest drive available. This MS28 sounds like a jet taking off when it is reading a DVD or a game.
