So I bought a brand new console today since I was banned and I had a few question before I proceed with Gamertag recovery.

My banned 360 had a 60GB HDD hooked up to it as well as I memory card. The memory card has all my save data as well as my profile. Since I've been banned, I've only accessed a Brutal Legend save file since I was not aware of all profiles/data being corrupted after a ban.

From what I understand I have to delete the profile from my memory card only, insert the card with all the save data on it and recover my Gamertag to it from my new, unmodded/unbanned console. This will allow me to use the save data I accessed after I was banned but any achievement points I earned since then will not appear after I connect onto LIVE from the new console. Is this right?

Would it be okay if I mod my new console after recovering my gamertag to it and then playing games offline for achievements and then recovering the gamertag to a friends console just to update my score on LIVE?

No. You would have to attach your memory unit to his console and sign in to Live. Recovering the gamertag on his console will just download the gamertag in the state that it was in when you last connected to Live, so none of the achievements you earned offline would show up.

EDIT - In fact, as your console is banned that won't work as your gamertag will show up as corrupt when you plug the memory unit into your friend's console, so there's not much you can do.

But I'm first going to recover my gamertag to an brand new unmodded/unbanned console. Then I'm going to mod it but I won't ever go online with the new console so it won't be banned. Then I'll bring the memory card to my friend's system and sign into to Live to update my score. That won't work?

As long as the box isn't banned you should be able to transfer the gamertag from it without corruption. However there are tut's on how to save your gamerscore from your banned console as well.

360 Benq ixtreme 1.6, Talismoon Whispermax (blue), custom window, black metallic paint, western digital 120gb hard drive
Wii (launch console) 3.3 Twilight Hack wiigator .3g
fat PSP 3.51 m33-7
DS (original blue) g6 lite flash kit w/passcard

Yeah, you can do that as the new modded console will be unbanned. That's what I'm doing now in fact, but I own 2 consoles rather than using a friend's. Recover your gamertag on your new console, then use the memory unit to sign into Live on your friend's console and your gamerscore will update.

If you just bought a brand new xbox, don't even try modding it yet. It isn't possible at this time on the new Lite-Ons. I believe if the mfg date is August 09 or newer, you aren't gonna be able to do it.
