hi all, 2 days ago put in a new laser after finding out to take off the antistatic ball.today it went back to it's original status(open tray). i cleaned the laser with a cotton bud.is there different liquids i can use to clean a laser if it get's dirty. jhaye2x

I've always used isopropyl alcohol but there are others you can use

I had the open tray error and cured it by using a cotton bud dipped into tapwater and gently cleaned the laser and its now working perfectly.

I advise against tap water, if anything use distilled or purified water...tap water deposits can stress the laser. As w00ly stated, Isopropyl alcohol works very well.
