Liquid cooling caused overheating rrod

I installed liquid cooling in my xbox 360, nothing went wrong during the install but when i went to power it up the fans rev up and it "overheats". At this point the system has been off for several hours and ive tried playing with the tensioners on the cooling blocks,any help?

use a little more thermal on the cpu

Could be

- too much thermal compound
- over tighting of clamp
- air lock in heatsink

Did you cycle the cooling system prior to powering on the 360? You got to make sure all the air is out. It can get trapped in the heatsink, causing overheating.

sometimes when i would get overheats i needed a lil more thermal on the cpu and it will go away,
