Yes, my friend did the key extraction (just before xmas) and me and another friend used the lastest LT firmware and Jungle flasher....

I believe TX have now developed a method to extract the key from the LiteOn 93450C2.

You can use the LT Switch or make a homemade probe. There is also the Vampire (Xtractor Pro add-on) or the Probe2(CK3 add-on). If you decide to use a homemade probe or the Vampire/Probe2, you can use this tutorial.

wow. I have had no luck. What should I use to cut the traces? Also why does yours show so much copper? Those cuts don't look like the separate the traces either? Why do you have a third spot?

You'll make different cuts if you solder.

Here is a good pic if you choose the solder route:

But since you have the vampire, all you need to do is the 2 cuts:

I use a fiberglass pen to clean the traces and a hobby knife to make the cuts.

What I did was scratched of the green coating until I got to the copper connection. I then made the cuts and used a multimeter to check continuity.

All you need to do is these 2 cuts:

Even with using the Vampire you would still need to cut traces. So you will also need to clean off the traces so you can solder them when you are done using the Vampire.

I us an exacto knife to do the cuts and cleans. Then use the vampire and have no luck. I got unknown chip properties at one point so I know I was close. My goal is to toatally disconnect the copper traces right? So I would assume it's pretty hard to cut too deep. I'm going to practice on a few other drives before I do a real one. What tools are you guys using? What's easier to get the green off? I heard you can use a dremmel, but not sure where you would get one. Where can I get a pen and a hobby knife?

The vampire makes it like cake. This thread was my first one. After the this help, it's pretty easy. I'd get the vampire. The LT switch requires soldering. More of a choice.
