Lite-On DVD Drive swap

Hey guys n gals, i currently have 2 360's both have Lite-On DVD drives. One of them is flashed with ixtreame 1.6, the other is stock. Now what I want to do is put the stock Lite-On into the console that currently has the hacked Lite-On in it. I dont have the original FW for the modded Lite-On drive but I do have the key.bin file from it.

So my question is can I install the stock Lite-On into the currently "modded" console without the original FW?
Can I just use the key.bin file?

afaik you will have to make a dummy file from your key.bin and use that as the source firmware, then download a stock firmware file for the liteon and use that as the taeget firmware then just flash your new stock liteon
