Hello, and thank you for your help. I am flashing the earlier Lite-On drive, and i got all the way to the point where i was going to spoof my bin file with some Ixtreme fw with Jungleflasher. The problem arises at that point. In the log box in Jungleflasher it seems to say something about a calibration error in the log. Now i have multiple key and bin extractions using JF a couple of times for that. I went to Erase the Lite-on Fw, so that i can write to the firmware and when i erased it, there was a power outage in my house so i couldnt write to it. When i started up my computer and plugged the sata cable in a everything, the computer froze and jammed up. So then i went to replace my via drivers with a dummy one as instructed. Now it wont recognize the Drive at all with either JF, or the USBXtractor program i can use. It wont even detect it in DosFlash either, yet my USBxtractor hardware will not detect or read the R707 point but if i point it on another part of the board it can light up? Any ideas to have the drive on and detected again?

Old dump methods didn't get the laser calibration data. If you have erased your drive, there is no way to get your unique laser calibration data back. You can spoof your key etc to stock LiteOn firmware to get calibration data. Calibration data isn't directly accessed by the firmware but was included for correctiveness.

There is no firmware on the drive so therefore it won't be recognizes. You need to completely remove the VIA driver then reboot your PC. Load up JF and then connect your LiteOn to the same SATA port then power on drive. It shouldn't freeze and then you'll need to select the same I/O port your LiteOn is connected to. Click Intro/Device ID and then power cycle the drive (disconnect power plug to dvd drive then plug back in within 1 second). Should get good flash chip status 0x72 and you can write firmware.
