tried modding my first lite-on drive today and jungle flasher crapped out in the middle of the erasure. the drive is completely unresponsive as being able to open and close it, and when connecting it with the sata cable to my pc the pc will freeze. i have the key saved. i would be incredibly grateful for any assistance.

if i could circumvent the freezing when i power up the drive i think i could bang this one out. ive removed the via drivers and it will still lock up for a length of time then prove responsive and then go back to locking up

You will need to create a bootable USB drive. I have a tutorial to do so linked in my signature. Then you will need to put DosFlash16 (v1.7) on to the USB drive along with your custom firmware (iXtreme 1.6 + your DVDkey). DosFlash16 contains 2 files, dosflash.exe and dosflash.typ.

Boot to the USB drive and type 
dosflash.exe
It will list your SATA ports. Your Lite-ONs flash chip will either be a MXIC or Winbond/NEX. Choose the SATA port that corresponds with your Lite-ON. Then type W for write. Then type the name of your ix1.6 file. Example: Lite_CFW.bin

It will write and this should recover your drive.
