hey i could be wrong but - from what i know 1.61 isn't released yet, only 1.6 for lite-ons. 1.61 is only released for every drive but the lite-ons, but it is expected to see 1.61 for liteons soon

Think its only for Samsung & BenQ. I havent even been able to login to xbins for a few days, thought it was down.

xbins is being a pain but it is working.glad to hear that the firmware is coming.
i have a question about the 1.6 ixtreme.
i flashed my lite on with 1.6 recently and i used the original bin files which i took off with a ck3 probe.
when using jungle flasher it asked me to add some info to the dummy bin such as numbers on the laser,barcode,and various others.
when i tried to add this info it would not accept it????
any idea's it would seem the info i was typing was invalid but it was what was in the drive?? any idea's??

You sure you're definitely entering it correct? I did one the other day on JF and it worked fine, one of the boxes only needs one line where as theres 2 lines of serial number on the drive, you also need to take the drive out the casing completely to see the last serial number

im pretty sure i did but i can try again as i have a spoofed benq as a lite on running at the moment with ixtreme 1.61 .
i will post if it works.

Never seen a lite on flash ask for this info and I have flashed both flashable lite ons, what programs asks for this?

JungleFlasher does, when you load the dummy files off the lite on, once teh lite on is flashed you don't need to probe ti again, you can extract the key off the dummy.bin, and when it does pop up just close it, leave it alone, and then take the key place it to which ever firmware your gonna be using ( such as a benq spoof) i have done it and it works! (from both hitachi to benq and lite on to benq).... just man i hope 1.61 comes out for this friday got lots of inquired about it already!

im assuming its that you have the 4 digits off the laser,the barcode,the revision a01 or a02 and other things.when i click ok after editing them it just does nothing.however if i say to ignore adding info it will continue on and flash?

well i know that the barcode kinda got me a couple times i found that you had to put 3 spaces after the barcode digits cuz the line has to be 20 characters long if im not mistaken. Also someone correct me if im wrong but isnt it risky not having that information written with the firmware? But then again i ignored the information the first time i came across it and the drive didnt work on the system it gave me an error code and a flashing light.

I've honestly never bothered with the info from the barcode before.
My logic is that, firstly, it is a pain in the ass. Secondly, MS cannot detect firmware versions, and therefore probably cannot detect that info, either. I've never had a system banned.
However, that is just my preference. Feel free to do as you wish.

the activate.iso dosnt work fine for all of us. Have a liteon with 1.6 and the activate.iso dosnt do the trick. talked to 4 other people who have liteon and the same firmware, and thair xboxes dosnt work iether. sooo dont say it works for everyone. it dosnt

That's because you probably didn't burn the disc properly or you don't really have 1.6 installed. I have done it 100 times.

There is something about that activate.iso that I don't trust. Also I have someone else mod my xbox and I dropped it off at his house right after the wave 4 games came out. So in closing, I don't want to pick it up until the new firmware comes out and it's on my Liteon.

I have 1.6 installed and activate.iso doesnt work for all my wave 4 games. Its probably an issue with the games this person is trying to play

I have to agree, i did it on a benq 1.6 for testing, and it worked, left the sic at a buddies, didn't have any dvd dl left so i used a dvd rw, and it didn't work with that as far as i know it has to be on a dual layer disc. WHERE IS 1.61 for the lite on already!?
