Hi

So i have been working on updating the firmware in my Lite-on 7485 360 dvd drive. It wasn't me who originally flashed it, nor on my computer so i have no keys. Ive also tried using jungleflasher anyways to extract whatever was on there, except that came back with "Bad Serial Data".

I have a couple questions, if i were to replace this drive would i need the exact same drive (company and series)? Is the only way to flash the current drive "soldering"? Is there another option?

bad serial data could be a few things. When was it flashed? If it was flashed since LT came out then you'll have to solder, no other way to go. If it was flashed before LT it may have iXtreme 1.61 or earlier and possibly have another method to get the key

Try hooking it up to your computer, opening JF and clicking "Get key from DB", it might be saved on the server.
